* Just a reminder to all our anglers, please do your part to help slow the spread of Covid-19 by practicing social distancing while sport and personal use fishing, and wearing a face covering when social distancing is not possible and if you are needing fishing supplies from your local store.

Freshwater Fishing

  • Fishing for Arctic char is reported to be fair to good at river mouths emptying into most Bristol Bay lakes.
  • Fishing for rainbow trout and Arctic grayling is reported to be fair to good. Salmon have not quite begun spawning, so nymphs, streamers, and spinners (where allowed) should still work well until spawning begins.
  • Fishing for northern pike is reported to be fair to good with fishing concentrated around weeded bays and sloughs.
  • Fishing for king salmon on the Nushagak River is reported to be slow to fair as the run tails off in the later half of July.
  • Fishing for king salmon in the Alagnak, Naknek, and Togiak drainages is reported to be good to great as the peak of the run is just passing in these drainages.

Saltwater Fishing

  • Halibut fishing near Protection Point is reported to be slow to fair with mixed success.
