Description: The Nushagak River sonar site external link is located about 37 miles upstream of Nushagak Bay on the Nushagak River.

In 2022, the Division of Commercial Fisheries is modifying the methodology on how downstream fish are accounted for at the Nushagak River sonar site.

Sustainable Escapement Goal for Chinook: 55,000 - 120,000 (Graphed above)
Inriver Goal for Chinook: 95,000
