Two-hundred household permits for the 2015 Chatanika River Personal Use Whitefish Spear Fishery will be issued on a first come, first served basis from the Fairbanks Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) office located at 1300 College Road beginning 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 19. Only one permit will be issued per household. Permit applicants must be Alaska residents and have a valid resident sport fishing license. Each household permit authorizes a harvest of 10 whitefish in that portion of the Chatanika River from the downstream side of the Elliott Highway Bridge to ADF&G markers located at the Trans-Alaska Pipeline crossing (approximately 7 river miles downriver from the bridge).
