NEW ADF&G VIDEO SHOWS HOW TO FISH FOR ARCTIC GRAYLING

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADFG), Division of Sport Fish recently produced an educational video, How to Fish for Arctic Grayling.

In this eight-minute video, April Behr, a fisheries biologist for ADFG, shows how to fish for Arctic grayling. She goes over the tackle and techniques for using both spin fishing and fly fishing gear. She also points out good spots to fish for Arctic grayling in a river, and describes their feeding habits. Finally, she shows how to successfully land and release an Arctic grayling.

The video will most benefit those who have never, or rarely, gone fishing for Arctic grayling. Seasoned anglers will enjoy the underwater footage.
