Alaska Board of Game Issues Call for Proposals for
Southcentral/Southwest Regional Meeting

(Juneau) - The Alaska Board of Game is accepting proposals for changes in regulations pertaining to hunting, trapping, and the use of game in the Southcentral and Southwest Regions. These regions are composed of Game Management Units 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17. The Board of Game is also accepting proposals for taking Mulchatna caribou throughout its entire range, which includes Units 18 and 19.

The meeting is scheduled for February 27 – March 9, 2009 at the newDena’ina Civic & Convention Center in Anchorage, Alaska. The deadline for submitting proposals is 5:00 p.m. December 5, 2008.

Proposals should be submitted on Board of Game proposal forms, available on the board’s website at http://www.boards.adfg.state.ak.us/bbs/forms/propform.php or by contacting the Boards Support Section regional offices at:

Proposals must be received by Boards Support Section staff at the address above by the announced deadline; a postmark is not sufficient. All proposals must contain a signature, contact telephone number, and address. Proposed regulatory changes must fit within the scope of the Board’s call for proposals which is available on the website at http://www.boards.adfg.state.ak.us/gameinfo/index.php

Printed proposal books will be available to interested persons in January, and will be available on the board’s website at http://www.boards.adfg.state.ak.us.
