Yukon Flats Advisory Committee
The Yukon Flats Advisory Committee represents the communities of Birch Creek, Beaver, Chalkyitsik, Fort Yukon, Arctic Village, Circle, Venetie, and Stevens Village. There is a total of 15 designated seats, with two designated seats for each community except Birch Creek, which has one designated seat. These communities are spread throughout Game Management Unit (GMU) 25. The areas of jurisdiction identified in 5 AAC 97.005 are GMUs 20 and 25. The fish area of jurisdiction is the Upper Yukon River. The Yukon Flats Advisory Committee is an active AC that holds up to two meetings a year focusing on local game and fishing issues on the state and federal levels.
