Reporting Requirements

  • Successful Hunters
    • hunters must return the completed hunt report and lower front teeth to the ADF&G office in Douglas or Yakutat or the USDA Forest Service office in Yakutat within five (5) days of kill.
    • Specimens Required: Lower front teeth
  • Unsuccessful Hunters
    you must return the hunt report to one of the above offices, or report online at http://www.hunt.alaska.gov by Dec. 1, 2014.
  • Internet Reporting
    If you hunted unsuccessfully or did not hunt, you may report online at http://www.hunt.alaska.gov

Hunting Conditions

This permit is valid for the taking of one (1) bull moose in Unit 5(A), except Nunatak Bench, covered by Registration Hunt #RM061 in accordance with the current Alaska and Federal Hunting Regulations and conditions described below:

1. Season dates:
Oct. 8, 2014 - Nov. 15, 2014 Unit 5(A) Residents (Federal Subsistence Season)
Oct. 15, 2014 - Nov. 15, 2014 All other hunters (State Season)

2. Location(s): From October 8 - 21 only residents of Unit 5(A) may hunt on Federal Public Lands.

3. Successful hunters must return the completed hunt report and lower front teeth to the ADF&G office in Douglas or Yakutat or the USDA Forest Service office in Yakutat within five (5) days of kill.

4. All hunt reports must be returned, or reported online at http://hunt.alaska.gov by close of business December 1, 2014. If you fail to report, your name will be turned over to Alaska Wildlife Troopers for enforcement action.

5. Legal moose: Bull. Up to 55 bulls may be taken: however, no more than 25 bulls may be taken west of the Dangerous River.

All successful hunters are asked to provide a photograph of their moose antlers to the ADF&G office in Yakutat or Douglas, or send an electronic image to ryan.scott@alaska.gov
