Community Council
Kachemak Bay Research Reserve

The Community Council is a public representative body dedicated to making recommendations that encourage the growth and progress of Reserve programs. The Council’s primary purpose is to provide an organized structure for substantive and meaningful dialogue between Reserve staff, agencies, local governments, researchers, environmental educators, conservation groups, industry groups and others interested in natural science research and education. The Council plays a vital role in connecting Kachemak Bay communities and state and national organizations with the Research Reserve through regular quarterly public meetings and committee meetings.

Download the Council's charter for more information on the goals, objectives, and roles of the KBRR's Community Council.

Check out the Community Council's website for more information, or contact Stacey Buckelew, Coastal Training Program Coordinator.
