Discovery Labs

Late June through early August, 2013

Residents and visitors of all ages are invited to join KBRR staff and trained volunteers to explore Kachemak Bay's coastal environment through lab classroom learning stations and fun, hands-on activities at the Alaska Islands & Ocean Visitor Center. A schedule for Summer 2013 Discovery Labs will be posted in April or May.

Estuary Ecology Walks

Join KBRR staff for a 1-hour guided interpretive hike from the Alaska Islands & Ocean Visitor Center along the Beluga Slough trail to the Bishop's Beach Berm.

Islands and Ocean Beach Walks

Wednesday, June 22 - Saturday, August 13, 2011
Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Late June through mid-August 2013

Refuge, Reserve, and National Park Service staff will lead the Friday morning explorations at Bishop's Beach. Free and for all ages.
