I’ve been with the Reserve since the summer of 2000 offering administrative support to staff, interns, volunteers, visiting researchers and the general public. I serve as receptionist and bunkhouse liaison, and assist with scheduling, purchasing, travel, personnel, expenditure tracking and recordkeeping. Occasionally, I am fortunate enough to get out in the field with a research project, or to participate in one of the Reserve’s many education programs.

My interests include habitat protection and restoration for the preservation of native species, and natural resources management that encourages sustainable systems. For the past few years, I have been involved in the local shorebird monitoring program, and hope to continue work that leads to a greater understanding of changes in our natural world over time.

I have an A.A. in Liberal Arts from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and a B.S. in Biology with an emphasis in marine biology from the University of Alaska Southeast in Juneau.
