Creating SPAM Input Files

The required file format is described in the SPAM 3.2 User's Guide (PDF 477 kB). Bank and Eichart's Whichrun 3.2 provides an option to convert GENEPOP-style genotype files into SPAM-input files (both baseline format and mixture format).

Naming SPAM Control Files

SPAM allows you to select mutliple control files at one time in order to execute batch runs. However, this will only work if each control filename has a rootname (preceding the '.ctl') of eight characters or less.

I.e., the following control files can be simultaneously selected for batch execution:
cook199.ctl, cook299.ctl, cook399.ctl, cook100.ctl, cook200.ctl, cook300.ctl.

The following control files cannot be simultaneously selected for batch execution:
UpperCookInletOpening11999.ctl, UpperCookInletOpening21999.ctl, UpperCookInletOpening31999.ctl, ...
