Timing and location are critical when fishing in Alaska. Use the timing menu below to increase your chances of success by planning your fishing trip around the times and locations the fish are running.

Sport Fish run timing and fish availability charts.

This table indicates when sport fish are present (little fish) or at their peak availability (larger fish) in fresh water in the area from Portage Glacier (along the Seward Highway) to the southern portion of the George Parks Highway and the western half of the Glenn Highway. It includes the communities of Girdwood, Anchorage, Eagle River, Palmer, and Wasilla.
