Access Information

Fishing on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson requires, in addition to a valid State of Alaska fishing license, a Recreational Access Permit. Permts may be obtained online, or at kiosks located in both JBER visistor's centers.

  • Directions: Starting at Boniface gate, continue straight onto Vandenberg Ave. At 0.7 mile continue straight at stoplight and Arctic Warrior Drive. Follow for 2.3 miles and turn right onto Fairchild Ave. Drive 1.5 miles, then turn left onto Airlifter Drive. Continue for 2.2 miles then veer left onto dirt road. Continue 0.4 mile to arrive at Spring Lake parking area. Follow foot trail to lake.
